Twenty-two years after the genocide in Rwanda, we hear from two female survivors who have dedicated their lives to improving the mental health and wellbeing of women in the country's capital. Jeanne Mwiliriza, and Charlotte Karikwera founded Tubahumurize Association in 2006 - a grassroots organization that supports and empowers female victims of violence and marginalization in Rwanda through trauma counselling, vocational training, micro-credit loans, a sewing school and a prodigious cooperative. In this episode, Jeanne and Charlotte discuss their take on the mental health landscape in Rwanda.
