In Part 3 of this series on food, race and health, sustainability graduate Jane Zhang interviews Dhruv Pandy, a medical genetics researcher at UBC examining how different types of fat consumption links up to diabetes and cardiovascular disease in North America, in comparison with the Greenland Inuit and Mediterranean Europeans. Pandy also talks about nutritional experiments in the Aboriginal residential school system, and how it contributes to intergenerational trauma today.
