The 66th World Health Assembly was held between May 20th to May 28th this year in Geneva, Switzerland - bringing together not only delegations from the 194 UN Member States, but also world renown NGOs and academia to plan future policies as well as interdisciplinary collaborations on current pressing issues on global health.
Every year, the International Federation of Medical Students also sends a delegation with equitable regional representation to the WHA. For the very first time, IFMSA held a Youth Pre-WHA Workshop on Global Health Diplomacy and Global Health Governance as a open platform to empower youth leaders, and to streamline the youth strategy plan for the WHA.
