On today�s segment of Health on Earth, Stephane from CKUT's Avalanche (which focuses specifically on disability rights and issues as part of CKUTs community news department) paired up with Health on Earth on an interview with Jack from Seeing Voices. Seeing Voices Montr�al is a nonprofit organization that raises awareness of deafness through the use of a mixture of American Sign Language (ASL) and theatre with the goal to present adapted plays of popular stories that involve not only the deaf, but also hearing actors and audiences. Jack is deaf himself and has done phenomenal things, including working as a director for Seeing Voices Montr�al, as well as being a camp coordinator for children with disabilities. He spoke of the challenges and obstacles he had while growing up, sensitivities of deaf culture, as well as his work with Seeing Voices Montr�al.
